The third day at Woodstock was just as amazing as the previous two. Tim Hardin was one among the performers on that day, albeit his performance is not well known. Hardin is a folk singer who had a great hit with the song “If I Were a Carpenter.” When he sang his song on stage, the audience went wild. They were as enthralled with it as they were when they first heard it on the radio!

The celebration took place on land owned by a farmer called Max Yasgur. He was moved to tears by Woodstock. He is famously quoted as saying, “If we join them, we can turn those adversities that are the problems of America today into a hope for a brighter and more peaceful future.” Woodstock was almost canceled due to a lack of a location, but this man saved the event by allowing it to take place!
