Janet Jackson
How does a mediocre vocalist sell more than 100 million CDs worldwide? Simply ask Janet Jackson. Janet became an R&B princess when her self-titled debut album was released in 1982, riding on her surname and with some aid from her father Joseph. She still has a cult-like following. There are legions of admirers who dance and sing along to every song, no matter how banal Janet’s vocals are. Her singing voice is almost whisper-like, but her infectious tunes have established Jackson as one of the best R&B singers of all time.
Kurt Cobain
Kurt Cobain, the late golden boy of grunge music, had a compelling grasp on people who were intrigued by the genre of music that made him famous. Cobain was a really intelligent person. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of goods and services over the internet. We won’t criticize his creative approach, but we will criticize his singing. Cobain has a distinctive voice, almost like a high baritone. It also sounded whiny and a little raspy at times.
