Selena Gomez
Many of Selena Gomez’s albums have gone to number one in the United States. What, though, drives fans to rush out and buy her CDs or pay hundreds of dollars to see her perform? We’re not certain. It’s most likely not her vocals, as her singing voice leaves a lot to be desired. She is essentially the creation of some astute producers who have propelled the careers of numerous underwhelming Disney stars. (like Britney Spears and Hilary Duff). Regardless of how hard she tries, the “Come & Get It” singer always sounds a little off key. (We still love her, though.)
Sid Vicious
Let’s break it down: Vicious couldn’t play bass or sing, he was accused with the murder of his girlfriend, and he was so insane most of the time that he wore swastika t-shirts as a punk rock statement. For some reason, multitudes of fans have elevated and deified this man to the status of Punk Godfather. While greats like Iggy Pop, Joe Strummer, and Joey Ramone are recognized, they are nowhere like the legend that Sid is. He only ever contributed an attitude to music.
