Not Over Yet
Rose’s voice has a croaky tone. Right now, she just couldn’t bring herself to dispute about it. The timing of this, if it had been arranged that way, could not have been worse. She required some solitude to process the death of her sister in order to be a good role model for David when he returned home. She asked Vincent to take her home and keep her company there while the funeral was being conducted. However, it wasn’t quite over yet.
A Familiar Tone

She was outsmarted by Vincent, who had already sat down on the couch in the living room. David kept himself occupied while his uncle was around and grinned when he saw his aunt. He ran straight for her and gave her a bear hug.
