Someone rang the doorbell later on that afternoon. Rose gasped mouthful of open air as she opened the door. When the door suddenly opened, Vincent was standing directly in front of her. Where has my son gone, he was left to wonder. David, though, was still away from his trip to see his grandparents. Why Vincent was so eager to meet his son baffled Rose. She couldn’t comprehend. There was no reason for him to like David now because he had never liked him before.

Why are you so quickly drawn to David? You’ve never played the father figure for him before. You weren’t even present when he was born, but I was when he was born! Rose made a bad choice because she let her emotions rule her. She bawled her eyes out and yelled at Vincent. What are you doing? she questioned me. “David is a stranger to you. You never paid the kids’ bills or even went to see them…”
