Rose’s emotions drove her too far. Her voice was quivering the entire time. “How can you lie to my parents like that?” Rose tried to explain everything to her parents, but Vincent interrupted her in the middle of what she was saying. Her parents continued to believe the accusations despite the fact that he denied them. There was no reason for them to start trusting Vincent now as they had never done so before.
