Huarmey Queen
The Huarmey Queen was an important person in the culture of the Wari or Huari culture of Peru. These people lived in the Andes Mountains coastal areas and the south-central Andes from 700 to 1000 AD. This woman was basically as old as the Great Pyramid of Giza! Archaeologists found her in the Ancash region, north of Lima. They found her remains in a pyramid mausoleum in El Castillo de Huarmey.
What The Huarmey Queen Really Looked Like
Unlike others, they gave her an actual physical form. This is the reason the 1200-year-old woman looks rather realistic. Her mummies, together with the other noblewomen they found, were seated in rows of fives. They were also buried with fantastic artifacts like silver, copper, and gold jewelry and bowls.
