Waiting Outside
This time, Rose was able to understand what he was saying, and she told the mortician what David had discovered. She came to the conclusion that, until this issue was handled, she could not go ahead with the funeral. David was informed by Rose that they would be looking into the situation, and that all they could do for the time being was wait. They left the room to wait outside when David had collected himself.

The cemetery was illuminated by the sun, which was high in the sky. The usual pattern for this time of year is little to no precipitation, but today was an exception. Rose interpreted this as a cosmic message. Her sister made sure to always keep a close check on her. She shed a tear, and David tenderly wiped the one that had run down her cheek. She cast a quick glance at him and decided there was no reason to be alarmed.
