People stood by and observed as the members of the family reached various life milestones. In light of this, it should come as no surprise that they were forced to cut and reshoot several parts in order to make the film more coherent and cohesive. Russel Jay alleged in the divorce documents of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries that two or more scenes involving Humphries had been reshot or scripted, which was supported by the evidence. It turns out that the show is heavily reliant on the editors to infuse extra drama into the proceedings.

As soon as David Hester was fired from the show, he informed the entire world that the show is based on a script that must be followed. The same can be said for the interviews that they conduct. He stated that the producers set up the storage lockers by placing fascinating stuff in them as well as placing them in the storage lockers.
