That particular day, there was one car that caught his attention while he was on patrol at the Kingwood Township Highway. It had been a beautiful summer day as he went after the white BMW on the lane beside his. The driver of this vehicle had not been driving erratically or going above the speed limit. No, what made him go after it was the fact that he suspected that the windows had a darker tint than the legal limit. Patterson even wondered how this driver could see with those in place.

Many people have tints on their windows, so there is generally nothing unusual about them. However, authorities will need to step in when they seem to be dark enough to restrict vision. After all, it is a no-brainer that one will be unable to see and drive well when the tint is too dark. This did not only pose a danger to the person behind the wheel but to everyone on the road as well. It concerned the state trooper, so he wanted to bring it up with the driver.
