Forensic experts discovered a group of more than 400 children, men, and women at the South Leith Parish Church burial grounds in Edinburgh. In 2009, they excavated the bodies to make way for the new train system in the country. The medial woman below was discovered in a communal grave, although it was hard for scientists to determine the cause of her death. The best guess scientists came up with would be the fact that she died of a plague or another infectious disease.
