Whoopi Goldberg is a famous actor and comedian, the recipient of many awards, from an Emmy, to a Grammy, to an Academy Award to a Tony! However, it wasn’t always easy for Whoopi. Did you know that Whoopi suffers from dyslexia? Fortunately, this didn’t hold her back as she strived towards stardom. Initially, it did prove troublesome though.

What Is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a common learning disability and can have an effect on your reading, writing and speaking ability. It can also affect your mental health, as well as your physical health. Previously, it was harder to detect and diagnose dyslexia; there simply wasn’t enough research on the condition. As a consequence, Whoopi struggled at school and dropped out aged 17.
