Becoming a mom was a moment that I thought had passed for me, but I got to reach back in time and grab it,” Kotb explained to the magazine.

There are people who think that her decision to be a mom is a cause for celebration. In September 2020, Kotb revealed that she got a letter telling her off for her decision to adopt a pair of girls when she was already in her fifties. “I literally read it and I thought, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe someone put a stamp on it and sent it,’” she said.
