Freddie King
Freddie King was a notable blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. King was born in 1934 and died in 1976. His career began in the early 1950s and is still considered one of the “Three Kings of Blues Guitar”. King was known for his soulful and powerful voice as well as his excellent guitar playing. He was also a massive influence on electric blues music and on many other blues guitarists. People often called him “Texas Cannonball”. He was just a legend.
Hubert Sumlin
Hubert Charles Sumlin was a Chicago blues guitarist and singer well known for his “torn, shattered outbursts of notes, sudden cliff-top silences, and daring rhythmic suspensions”. He was a member of Howlin’ Wolf’s band. His influence on the music industry was not only enormous but highly acclaimed throughout his career. Sumlin was ranked #43 in Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. Just unbelievable.
