Henry Kissinger – Age 97
Henry Kissinger fled Germany and fled to the US, pursuing a diplomatic and political career. He became an advisor to President Nixon and Ford. He won the Nobel Peace Prize, but the public didn’t think he deserved it, claiming he wasn’t successful in his Vietnam negotiations. He didn’t think twice about returning his award when the people were found right. Henry was also a well-known political scientist and diplomat. He had accumulated around twenty million dollars during his retirement throughout his career.
Jimmy Carter – Age 96
Born in Georgia, Jimmy Carter worked on Navy submarines. Carter opposed racial segregation strongly and motivated him to be a civil rights activist. In 1977 he was appointed President and established the education and energy departments. He shifted from his political career to charitable causes. Until now he was still championing civil rights through the Carter Center.
