A Helpful Neighbor
Elly had the good fortune to be able to call on a neighbor who lived nearby and could be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes for assistance. They had made a vow to see what they could do to keep the house in good order because they had known each other for a long time. However, because of the broken windows and the leaky roof, a sizable amount of work was required. Nearby residents of Elly’s neighborhood were also experiencing issues.

They were also worried about their son Steven, who had only recently moved back in with them after living on the streets for several years.
