Our experience has shown us that surviving on your own for four weeks on a lonely island is everything but simple. Their search for food, shelter, and water is left entirely to their own initiative. It seems like a body of water nearly always appears at the last minute when things are going badly, but that is just how it is with this group of people. The same may be said regarding eating! This is not a coincidental occurrence. “We had to make sure that the island’s only water supply, a muddy pool, would last through filming in the dry season and that there were enough native animals and native vegetation to sustain the men for 28 days — as long as they had the ingenuity to find it, catch it, and kill it,” the show’s producers explained.

Reality television simply would not be the same without Gordon Ramsey’s contributions. However, he has been chastised for the manner in which this show is conducted. According to reports, it gave the impression that a Manhattan eatery was worse than it actually was. He was even sued as a result of it! The plaintiff, on the other hand, ultimately decided to dismiss the action.
