This program was again another hit with the audience. During its nine-year existence, it was extremely popular. During the course of the show, drama and tension erupted as women moved into new homes and changed out outdated regulations for more modern ones. It was then revealed that the competitors were instructed to behave in a specific manner by the producers of the show. On top of that, the manuals were written by the producers themselves! We are not surprised to learn that the tapes were modified to fit the narrative that was intended to be used for the families in the documentary.
