In some ways, the premise of this show sounds like a real-life version of the Hunger Games franchise. The contestants are divided into teams and left to their own devices in the woods, where they must complete a variety of challenges. It’s disappointing to learn that the majority of the challenges and competitions that take place on the show are fabricated. Several of them have been confirmed by the producers as having been filmed with body doubles. The contestants are also required to reenact certain scenes, in addition to the above. The eviction of another contestant on the show was also staged, according to a former contestant.

American Idol

American Idol made its television debut in 2001 and quickly established itself as a popular show. This is followed by a series of singing tryouts in various locations across the country until the judges select someone deserving of the title. The vast majority of the candidates do not stand a chance, but not for the reasons you might expect them to be unsuccessful. Scouts are alleged to have already been dispatched to look for outstanding vocalists even before the auditions are scheduled to start.
