Willie Degel, a restaurateur, installed surveillance cameras in a restaurant that had been struggling financially. This was done in an attempt to figure out what was wrong with the situation. Employees who were not performing their jobs properly were meant to be caught by the system. Following that, he would confront them and, if necessary, fire them in the most spectacular manner imaginable. I’d like to point out that this is virtually entirely fabricated. The owner of the restaurant featured in the first season stated that the Food Network reached out to them and conducted a screen-test on the employees before they began filming the episode in question. Aside from that, the clients were instructed to behave in the most rude manner they could.
