To be sure, the Pope is a busy man. However, receiving the Pope’s blessing for your wedding must imply that your marriage will be successful. Did he preside over the entire ceremony? Perhaps this couple didn’t need to engage a marriage administrator at all! If that’s the case, this could be a life hack rather than a wedding fail. We must give respect to this retro couple for being in the ideal position to receive the Pope’s blessing. Even if it’s from a portrait, it still counts. And, anyway, when they discovered the genuine thing couldn’t come, they had to settle for second best.

That’s exactly what the newlyweds should have told their wedding guests. This unfortunate guest opted to nibble on the wedding decorations, which turned out not to be candy. Unfortunately, this guy lost a tooth in the process, but at least he was amused by it. While this guest appears to be amused, the bride and groom are probably relieved they didn’t take a taste of that bogus sweets. We can confidently state that there would be no photographs of them with missing teeth. Also, this is the only photo we have of him because the happy couple declined to be photographed with him in public.
