Jake the dog seemed to be the ideal candidate for the role of mascot for the upcoming book fair that Mrs Nabors was in charge of organizing. The kids, who were fans of Jake, responded positively and enthusiastically to the catchphrase “Paws for a Good Book,” which was hilariously comical and worked really well. However, the children’s day was made significantly better by the arrival of the puppy in more ways than one. We have all heard that having a dog around may have a slight influence on the attitudes and actions of people. Jake was a positive role model for the other students in the school, which benefited everyone.
