When driving, nothing is more crucial than having good visibility. However, like most other drivers, we frequently put off cleaning or replacing our windshield wipers if necessary. Windshield wipers are notorious for drying out and cracking quickly. To help prolong their life and clean them, soak a clean white towel in your favorite glass cleaner. Wipe the rag along the length of the wiper blades. The results will be visible on the rag, and you’ll be able to see out your windshield much more clearly in the rain.
Winter Driving
When there’s snow and ice on the roads and you don’t have enough traction to go up slopes or around corners, it’s a hint that you may use some extra weight. The weight of water softener salt bags in the trunk of a rear-wheel-drive vehicle adds to the vehicle’s rear weight. This helps with traction on ice and snow during the dreadful winter driving season. Please bear in mind that this advice does not apply to front-wheel-drive vehicles, while having extra salt in the trunk can help in an emergency.
Keep Your Car Clean
Keeping your car clean can be challenging. There are dirt roads, overgrown trees, pet hair, food crumbs, and wrappers everywhere. There’s most likely trash on the car’s floor, under the seats, and between the seats. Place any wrappers, bottles, or other waste in the tough car trash can! Line a plastic cereal container with a supermarket bag and use it as an in-car trash bin. To ensure that the container sticks to your car’s carpet, apply a strip of self-adhesive hook and loop fastener to the bottom of the container.

Homemade Car Air Freshener
To freshen up your car, use scented candle wax. Punch holes in the lid of a mason jar with a hammer and a long nail for a DIY car air freshener. Replace the jar’s lid and pour the wax in. As the temperature in your car rises, the wax will melt, leaving your car smelling wonderful.

Just because your car isn’t fancy enough to have built-in seat warmers (along with no heat!) doesn’t mean you can’t have a toasty seat. Invest in an aftermarket seat cover to help you and your vehicle thaw out and warm up while on the road.
DIY Car Mats
Cutting old carpet into mats that fit on the floor is a simple way to keep your car clean. You can either wash or toss the DIY carpet scraps when they become dirty from slushy winter snow or summer sand. A word of caution: these DIY car mats should not be used on the driver’s side unless grippers are installed on the bottom side to prevent the mat from slipping forward while driving.
Stop Losing Items With Pipe Insulation
It can be extremely annoying to drop objects, such as keys or cell phones, in the gap between the driver’s seat and the console. Because the gap is so small and our hands don’t generally fit, retrieving anything dropped in that space is difficult. We frequently go for a stick or wire hanger to get the objects out, which is inconvenient. Cut pieces of foam pipe insulation to the length of the gaps and wedge them in the spaces on either side of the console, as we recently discovered. Nothing is slipping between the gaps any longer!
