George Washington was the first President of the United States. His term lasted from 1780 to 1797. After the War for Independence, he was elected the president of the 1787 Constitutional Convention. It was important in the establishment of the federal government. He seems to be everywhere, from the dollar bill to museums! We are familiar with his face, but was this what he really looked like?

Researchers used painted portraits and detailed renderings to make a computer-generated photo of the Founding Father. It only goes to show that his portraits are pretty much authentic! The image is realistic enough to show his full head of hair and five o’clock shadow. The 1st POTUS died on December 14, 1799 at the age of 67.
