The Lady of Cao
Before 1990, researchers had been working to excavate the El Brujo region in Peru. However, they only unearthed this mummy in 2005. They called it the Lady of Cao. They believe that she died in the year 400, more or less. Experts think she was part of the Moche people, who lived long before the Incas. While she was dressed simply, the woman was buried with various artifacts, so she must be rich.

After she was discovered, they brought her remains to a museum in EL Brujo. They stored her inside a climate-controlled room to preserve her. One can only look at her through the glass now! Even though they brought her to life in a forensic manner, it is still a mystery what her role was in their society. It seems like she died in her late 20s. There is some reason to believe that she was a human sacrifice!
