King Henry IV
King Henry IV is also known as “Good King Henry” and “Henry the Great”. However, do you know the story about how his reign began? When he was 19 years old, he went on to become the King of Navarre. Two months after that, he got married. Protestants entered the city and celebrated, although they were then met with the “St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre.” The King almost died there and had to serve at the French court.
What King Henry IV Really Looked Like
Henry the Great is believed to have survived 12 different attempts on his life! Researchers decided to pick him for his religious tolerance. The Good King, however, failed to survive the 13th one. He was stabbed with a dagger by a Catholic Man in 1610. The team who worked on this also worked on a reconstruction of Robespierre’s life. Philippe Froesch, a facial reconstruction specialist, and Philippe Charlier, a forensic pathologist, deserve all the credit for their amazing work!
