Heather believed that day wouldn’t get much worse for her, but it did. Her landlord was there to greet her when she returned home from the courthouse. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing when the landlord told her he was evicting her and her kids. Heather had also attempted to resolve her housing situation in court, but all she had managed to bring home was yet another parking penalty.

Although Heather was struggling to make ends meet, it seemed like everyone was against her. She had recently lost her father, had received three parking citations in a row, and had been in and out of court. But Heather’s struggles weren’t yet over with the universe. She learned that her son was ill the day after her father passed away.
