George Clooney – Baseball
George Clooney is one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities today, although he came from humble beginnings. He attended Augusta High School and told Esquire that he received good grades and enjoyed baseball and basketball. He wanted to be a professional baseball player and tried out for the Cincinnati Reds. Although it was unsuccessful, it served as a reminder that he was meant for greater things. “ER” and “From Dusk till Dawn.” were his breakout roles. He is the director of the commercially and critically successful films “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” and “Leatherheads,” as well as an actor.
Terry Crews – Football
Terry Crews rose to prominence in football before appearing on television. In the National Football League, he was a defensive end and linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins. He started in 1991 and remained until 1997, when he decided to pursue acting. It was a wise decision, as he rose to prominence with appearances in “Everybody Hates Chris” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” He also served as a judge on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and “America’s Got Talent.” Crews told ReelTalks that the structure and standards of football are similar to those of acting, which helped him transition early in his career.
