He attended the University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship and played for the Trojans. A theatrical teacher advised him to pursue acting while studying Business Administration. As a result, he dropped out of college to pursue his performing career at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. With roles in “Magnum, P.I.,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Three Men and a Baby,” he rose to become one of the most celebrated actors.

Mark Harmon – Football

Mark Harmon is the son of Tom Harmon, a football player and commentator. It should come as no surprise that he had a good football career. He received scholarship offers from prestigious college football programs such as UCLA and Oklahoma. Harmon chose UCLA and spent two years as a quarterback for the Bruins. During his senior year, Mark received the National Football Foundation Award for All-Round Excellence. His football career was cut short, but he found greater success as an actor. He is most recognized for his roles on “NCIS,” “St. Elsewhere,” and “The West Wing,” for which he was nominated for an Emmy.
