The choices
This sign isn’t exactly inspiring confidence. It’s unclear whether the intention was to direct people to use the “other” elevator, or if this is simply a glaring typo. Either way, one thing is certain—the elevator is out of order. However, the sign doesn’t provide much guidance or alternative options for getting up or down, leaving people stuck, both figuratively and literally. Perhaps the context makes more sense when you’re there in person, but from afar, it’s a head-scratching oversight.

The Choices
Slow Down
Children should be free to play in the streets without parents constantly worrying about speeding cars or drivers failing to watch for kids and pets. While speed limit signs are in place, one proactive parent decided that a little extra motivation might encourage drivers to slow down. And what’s more motivating than a bold warning suggesting they’ll seriously regret exceeding the speed limit? It’s certainly a creative way to promote safer driving.
