Mark Spitz
Mark Spitz is a former competitive swimmer who managed to set tons of world records. He started to try swimming at a very young age. As he grew up, he realized that swimming was his passion; that was why he trained and worked hard for him to be a professional swimmer. He impressed the whole world as he became the most successful athlete who participated in the 1972 Olympic Games that was held in Munich – he bagged seven gold medals. When he went home from the Olympics, he started dating Suzy Weiner. A year after that, he married the love of his life. Until now, they are still happily married and spending both of their lives together.
Matt Biondi
Matthew Nicholas Biondi is a retired competitive swimmer. Throughout the years he spent joining several Olympic Games, he managed to bag a total of 8 gold medals. He won his first Olympic gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics, specifically in the category of Men’s 4 × 100 Metre Freestyle Relay. It seemed like winning his first gold medal pushed him to work and train harder as he won 5 gold medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics – one gold medal from the Men’s 50 Metre Freestyle, another from the Men’s 4 × 200 Metre Freestyle Relay, a gold medal from the Men’s 100 Metre Freestyle, one from the Men’s 4 × 100 Metre Freestyle Relay, and the last gold medal he got from that Olympic Game came from the Men’s 4 × 100 Metre Medley Relay. In the 1992 SUmmer Olympics, he was able to bring 2 gold medals home. Now at 54 years of age, he is spending his time teaching Mathematics and coaching young swimmers. He is happily living with his wife, Kirsten Metzger, and their son, Nate Biondi.
