HERMAN WOUK, 103 YEARS OLD

A well-known American author, Wouk’s books were translated into 27 languages. His books became best-sellers, and soon enough, he began winning awards for his writing. He published both fiction and non-fiction novels, some of which became Broadway shows and even movies. Another thing he did was keep a diary since 1973. In 2008, he presented the Library of Congress with his diaries, which amounted to over 100 diaries by 2012. He had a difficult time parting with his original diaries, so as a compromise, all his journals were scanned so he could keep the physical copies. He used them a lot to reference dates and facts in his writings.
