We’re sure you didn’t notice this improvised scene during your first viewing of Midnight Cowboy. Regardless, it was performed completely off the cuff. The crew closed off the area for filming, though one confused taxi driver did not notice the sign. He almost ran over Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight! Yes, it seems like Hoffman was genuinely aggrieved when he yelled, “I’m walking here!”
