Interestingly, Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz did not portray him in one role. When the Nazi was squeezing the life out of the actress’s neck, it was actually the director’s hands we are seeing.

Channing Tatum is a fantastic actor, no doubt about that. Just look at Foxcatcher if you need any proof. It must have been stressful to act in several scenes in the movie. In particular, we can’t imagine what it must have been like to shoot the mental breakdown scene.

Apparently, he wasn’t supposed to hurt himself by banging his head on the mirror! Nonetheless, it made for an intense scene and that was why it was used in the final cut.
