In the late 1990s, Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Joanie “Chyna” Lauer were widely regarded as the most influential couple in the world of professional wrestling, both on and off the screen. At least as long as Lauer was not looking, Levesque was able to form an off-screen connection with Stephanie McMahon, who played the role of his on-screen “wife” in the wrestling show. In 2003, Levesque and McMahon tied the knot, and now they are well positioned to preside over WWE for many years to come. On the other hand, Lauer passed away in 2016 due to an accidental overdose of drugs.
