Kenny recorded his first demo record just before his college graduation. He practiced for innumerable hours and built a reputation by playing at the local bars. Impressive, he was able to sell a thousand copies of his first album! Using the money he earned, he was able to buy a new guitar that he then took everywhere. After this, he decided to move to Nashville in order to expedite his music career. This was where he got his big break, of course.

After he was able to establish himself in Nashville, Kenny Chesney kept climbing the ladder of the country music industry. The 1994 album titled In My Wildest Dreams was his first one released by a major label. He released 17 other solo albums all in all, the most recent of which is the 2018 album, Songs for the Saints. Additionally, he also created several Greatest Hits albums, as well as, two live albums, Live: Live Those Songs Again and Live In No Shoes Nation.
