Many people actually don’t know this trick, but the plastic covering at the end of your utility knife actually serves a valuable purpose. If you pull it out, you will find that it’s attached to something quite sharp. That sharp object is the blade of a brand new knife! Once you find the blade, you just need to break off the plastic edge and then like magic you have a new and improved sharp knife! Of course, be careful while doing this.

Stapler Plates
Did you know the metal plate on your stapler has a name and serves a purpose? It’s called an “anvil”. It can be used by turning your stapler upside down and by spinning the wheel until it clicks back into its place. This setting is meant to be used for a “temporary staple”. It will push the arms of your staple outward instead of inwards, making it easier to pull out the staple later.
