The Toyota Land Cruiser is somewhat of a throwback to the beginning of SUVs, with a rugged platform and standard FWD. This SUV doesn’t fear speed bumps like other class rivals, it can plunge into thick mud and make it out the other side. Its starting price is $84,315, but due to its low sales numbers in 2017, you might be able to get a better price. Powered by a 381 hp V8, with the right equipment, it has more than four tons of towing capacity. While its fuel economy numbers are terrible, it is one of the only large SUVs that doesn’t require premium fuel.
