Pam Grier

Back in the early 1970’s, Pam Grier became famous after working on various Blaxploitation films. Perhaps you recall her in Coffy, Sheba, Baby, and Foxy Brown. After the decade wrapped up, she kept acting in projects like Mars Attacks!, Bad Grandmas, and Man with the Iron Fists. A biopic about her is presently in the works, and her book served as the inspiration for it. More recently, she appeared in This Is Us in the role of the Grandma.

All right, are you ready for the next story? It is not the common breakthrough role that you regularly hear about. Linda Gray actually served as the body double for the role of the infamous Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. Apparently, her legs were also used for the promotional poster instead of Anne Bancroft’s, and she was paid at the rate of $25 per leg for it. After this gig, she landed the lead role of Sue Ellen on the TV program Dallas and even reprised the same character for the remake! Apart from these, she also appeared in projects like The Entertainments, Star of Jaipur, and Oscar. Her more recent projects include the upcoming 2019 film Prescience.
