Four-Year Contract
While he signed a four-year contract with the Spanish club, CAI Zaragoza in December 2012, he made himself eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft. As we know, he was selected 15th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. He signed a rookie scale contract in July 2013.

Debut
In July 2013, Giannis made his debut for the national team at the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. He secured a fifth-place finish for Greece. Just one year later, he made it to the senior team at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup
