The Boonie
Four people who live off the grid and are distant from society are followed in this series. Bear Claw is a nomad who lives in the hills. Doc and Jeannie Leverett live above ground in north-eastern Washington State, while Dan and his family dwell on an island. Joe Ray lives in northern Arkansas’ underground caves. Each of the parties, in their own way, weaves a tale of the great American spirit and triumph over adversity. Mountain Bear Claw, who lives near Harpster on Lightning Ridge, is one of four characters on the National Geographic television show “The Boonies.”
