Veil Trouble
The bridal gown in this shot is elegant, but the veil is not. One plus is that the veil effectively conceals the bride, especially when a gust of wind blows. And that’s a nice thing when you’re Lady Charlotte Wellesley, an English socialite and heiress. We figured it would be too much to expect them to look at the weather forecast for the day. Lady Charlotte may have tried to keep the cameras away from her wedding to Alejandro Santo Domingo, but the paparazzi were exceedingly fortunate – they went away with one of the most renowned wedding fails…sadly, at Lady Charlotte’s price.
Bouquet Bouquet
Women are stereotypically depicted in movies and television shows battling over the bride’s bouquet. And, based on this photo, there may be some truth to it. The girl and the maid of honor are in a competition over the bouquet. The 10-year-old girl was victorious. Just don’t tell her she has to wait another 8 years to marry because that would dampen her spirits. The story has a happy ending since the girl’s mother asked her to deliver the bouquet to the maid of honor. That is true sportsmanship. We’re not sure where this custom came from. Do you have any ideas?
