He wrote Kate another message, this time pleading with her to tell him the truth about the boys in order to spare him the embarrassment of having to undergo yet another round of testing, this time about fertility. And he even informed her that he was delighted to follow her lead in determining how to tell his sons the truth. Despite this, he didn’t stop there. He told Kate that if she didn’t tell him the truth, and if he had to go through more tests, he would tell the boys the truth, regardless of how he felt it should be told. Richard received a response from Kate in a matter of minutes, knowing there was no way out.

Regardless of what science and Richard’s diagnosis suggested, Kate responded by stating categorically that the boys were unquestionably his. At this time, Richard was enraged because Kate was categorically denying everything. How could she be so callous and obnoxious when she had been discovered? He thought it was reasonable that if Kate wanted to do things the hard way, he would do things the hard way as well. As a result, Richard confided in his eldest son, who was attending university at the time, and told him all that had happened. However, he was unsure about how he would react.
