Camden’s family was stunned and dismayed by the news. When Nancy offered to assist them with something of this type, they were utterly taken aback. After all, not many people are willing to donate one of their kidneys to another person, let alone a complete stranger. As the day of the operation approached, the family paid Nancy a visit at her workplace, carrying flowers to express their gratitude for the selfless effort she had made. Darreld’s extended family, as well as his friends and acquaintances, had already been investigated to see if they were a genetic match. Regrettably, not a single one of them was. Darreld had begun to get negative about the situation before Nancy made her offer.
