After some time in his stay inside the freight vans, Campbell had discovered that his freight home was infested with mice. He was left with no choice but to stay inside the aircraft, even if he didn’t have a building permit. Because of this problem, he was able to understand every nook and cranny of the space.

In Campbell’s interview with the Mirror, he talked about his vision for his project and declared “shredding a beautiful and scintillating jetliner is a tragedy in waste, and a profound failure of human imagination.” He also added that living in an aircraft in the middle of the forest can be strange and lonesome, but he believes that there is nothing unnatural about it. He believes that the plane has its own “engineering grace unmatched by any other structures people can live within.”
